2025-26 Academic Year Meal Plan Changes

For the 2025 - 2026 Academic Year, students were preassigned the 14-track meal plan.  The Change Your Meal Plan option was available for students to make changes to their meal plan for the Fall 2025 semester from July 17 at 8:00 am ET to Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:59 p.m., ET.   

Spring 2026 Meal plan changes

The Change Your Meal Plan option will be available in the housing contract portal for students who want to make changes to their meal plan for the Spring 2026 semester on Tuesday, January 6 at 9:00 am ET.  The deadline to make meal plan changes is Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., ET.  After the spring meal plans begin (January 12), students may change their meal plan one time until January 23.  For meal plan changes between 1/12 and 1/23, students will be charged for the number of days they have each meal plan. 

Once your meal plan has been changed, you will receive a confirmation at your Purdue email address.

After January 23, students may not make changes to their spring meal plan (raise or lower).  

Examples:

  • If you want more meals, you can move up to the Unlimited meal plan by January 23rd.  The difference in cost will be billed to your MyPurdue account.
  • If you want more dining dollars, you can change to the 10-Track meal plan by January 23rd.  The difference in cost will be billed to your MyPurdue account.
  • If you live in an URBA (University Residences Boiler Apartment) and wish to change from a traditional meal plan to a Block Meal plan, you can do so until January 23rd.  Any meal swipes used from the traditional meal plan will be removed from the block of swipes in the new meal plan and the difference in cost will be billed to your MyPurdue account.
  • If you are changing plans at semester break and moving up or down into a new plan, any unspent Dining Dollars will roll over to the new plan.


The Fine Print

When choosing a meal plan please be aware that you are signing up for the full academic year. You can make changes to your meal plan during designated times, but you cannot drop the meal plan while you are living in University Residences. Residents of Hawkins Hall or Hilltop Apartments are not required to purchase a meal plan. Students assigned to these residences who wish to change to a room-only option must do so prior to the start of the Fall contract. The last day to change to room-only is Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:59 pm ET. Current residents of non-apartment halls who transfer to Hilltop Apartments or Hawkins Hall can select a room-only option when they are initially assigned. Residents of Hawkins Hall or Hilltop Apartments may eat at any residential dining services location by purchasing a meal plan in the housing portal or paying with credit/debit.
